MECCA

MECCA
(франц. messe) - литургия в католич. церкви. В содержание М. входит чтение молитв, песнопения в сопровождении органа. Заканчивается М. обрядом причащения. По решению II Ватикан, собора (1962-1965) (конституция «О литургии») в М. был введен ряд новшеств: разрешено проведение М. на нац. языках, принято решение о восстановлении общей молитвы в церкви, с особого разрешения папы и по постановлению епископов разрешено причащаться мирянам и хлебом и вином, рекомендуется включать в М. элементы нац. музыки и др.
